​Sian Elliott is an Ipswich based artist studying BA (Hons) Fine Art at the University of Suffolk. Sian has been exploring canvas based art and pushing the boundaries of what is sculpture, she has a keen interest in exploring the balance between what is a painting and what isn’t. She uses this as inspiration to explore memories through ‘Memorial Sculpture’, which embodied her personal experience of listening to sound and reacting through paint; then further deconstructing what is seen as a painting to be something that balances between a painting and sculpture. Her keen interest in texture, symbolism and memory has pushed her to explore various mediums.
